TIMMES, Inc. is a technology company that has perfected the highly efficient transport of medical images, via any medium, in a completely secure, lossless format. The company is interested in discussions regarding the possible sale and/or licensing of this technology to various companies for immediate integration and implementation into their current medical image management, storage, and transmission systems. This patent pending technology was developed by the company in 2002. Its applications encompass the wireless (including satellite) and wired transmission of a compressed, ultra secure and lossless image, using a wavelet-based image distribution mechanism, and dynamic transfer syntax (DTS). The operative result is an extremely fast and efficient transfer of image data, and the corresponding viewing of a 100% lossless image. This technology can also serve to optimize less efficient networks and remote locations, by allowing their use with a lossless image management system. Technology Overview:
TIMMES’ technology is compatible with all computerized imaging modalities and is functional with DICOM and non-DICOM image formats. Our capture stations, readers, servers, and PACS are compatible with Microsoft NT, UNIX, or Mac operating systems. In addition, TIMMES™, Inc. is a major participant in the development of an enterprise-wide integrated multimedia electronic medical record. Additionally, the company has created commercial products for the design, implementation, support and evaluation of picture archiving and communications systems (PACS), wireless and wired teleradiology and related telemedicine projects, all of which utilize our patent pending technology. The product line consists of PACS, mini-PACS, Teleradiology, RIS (Radiology Information Systems), SAN (Storage Area Networks), HIS (Hospital Information System) for fixed or mobile Outpatient Imaging Centers, Hospitals, Medical Centers, Home Care Centers, Specialty Service Clinics and Primary Care Facilities, all with multi-site and multi-phase implementation. We are currently continuing to develop our PACS, wireless teleradiology, telemedicine, workstation design, distributed object thin client, wavelet-based image representation/compression, multimedia education authoring, viewing tool development, electronic medical record infrastructure development, medical decision making and ROC analysis.
